Building my own gear drying rack, couple questions

Here is the timer I got. 12 Hours max. The most I ever use is 2 hours though. You have to wire it up to something of course. I just used a short multiple outlet extension cord that I split in two and put it in the middle inside a single gang box. Then I can use the timer on whatever I want.

Yeah, I did that too for a different application, but be careful, it seems to want to be mounted vertical. Sometimes it would stop ticking & stall in the on position when I left it laying flat.

I haven't had that problem. I've only had it for around four or five months though (might happen as it gets "worn"). I'll look out for that. Thanks.
