Bauer XR4 "problem"

Hey guys, I just picked up a set of Bauer XR4 skates, size 7 and there "seems" to be an issue where the boot meets the chassis. The chassis doesn't exactly sit flush with the outsole of the boot at the very front of the skate near the toe. There is about a 1-3mm gap between the chassis and the boot where the first rivets are. I've attached a picture so you guys get the idea. I want to know if this is normal for this skate and if I should take them back to my LHS. This issue is on BOTH skates and I was curious to see if it was normal.

Am I just being paranoid or should I exchange them for another pair?

Nothing to worry about here. This is fairly common and won't affect anything.

While it is true most skates aren't completely flush, I haven't seen it as extreme as this before. Especially where the first rivet is.

Yeah, If i was you i would just send them back and get a replacement pair. It looks like you havnt really used the skates yet so It shouldnt be a problem.

The picture is a bit deceiving so I decided to take some more. I also sent an email to bauer and am just waiting for a response. It's on both skates on the inside and outside edges. These shots are of the left skate only. I've worn the skates once.

I've heard you can just bring them to a LHS and they can recenter them.
