I had a similar problem with some ccm pants. I got a replacment button and sewed around the holes made by the original button with dental floss. Dental floss is great to use as repairing thread on hockey equipment that requires mending.

You can use regular large coat buttons, too. All of these suggestions will hold the suspenders.

Why not look into a shop that specializes in hockey repairs? Try checking the yellow pages, call around and get some pricing!

I would definitely buy the jean buttons. You can get a 5 pack on amazon for cheap or go to Michaels or Joanna fabric. Use a flat head screw driver to remove any parts of the buttons that are still attached. Then just use a hammer to snap on the new buttons. Will work perfectly. Good luck
