Taking a short weekend trip to DC, was thinking of swinging by the Kettler Capitals Iceplex, is this something worth doing or is just really a rink like any other?

depends on where you are from. Kettler is located in the Ballston Commons Mall and is used by the Washington Capitals as their training facility. There are two rinks.hockey equipment is now located on 2nd floor between rinks. When do you get in?.

Nice rink, on the top floor of a parking garage. First SummerJam was hosted there.
