Looking to turn Rbk 8k pro elbows into 7k pros

The slash guard on my 8k pro elbows interferes with my gloves. Looking to turn them into basically a 7k pro as I have seen some people around here do it. What are some reliable equipment repair places that could remove it? Has anyone removed the slash guard themselves?

You need to sew up the ends. Otherwise you'll have this.

You can sew it with binding as well to protecting the edge. Or apply a light coat of shoegoo/protectoe and it will hold up for a very long time
