Total One NXG Stick

Recommended Posts

No, judging by the comments on the first page it plays slightly stiffer.

I had the diablo in 75, and even after cutting some 5 inches or so it felt like a 70 flex for the 2-3 games that i had it for before snapping the blade.

I love bauer sticks, but i wish they incorporate the technology that warrior and sherwood uses where there a zone where you cut and keep the same (or they claim) flex, or at least make the 77 flex slightly shorter, i believe my apx was 61inches long uncut, cutting that 2-3 inches brought it up to 90flex . not good.

bauer did offer a 75 flex int option on the x60 and still does with the t1 and now the nxg. guess the 75 just didn't sell well enough in the vapor line to keep it around.

Is the NXG stick just a fresh paint on the old TotalONE? I picked one up on Boxing Day sale, took it home and put it on the scale--it weighted in at 435g. That's the exact same weight as my old TO--identical!! IWH has the 87 PM9 at 406g, but my NXG was almost 30 grams heavier. Needless to say, I returned the NXG the very next day.

There is always some wiggle room with flex and weight on sticks. Not every stick is coming off the line at exactly the same weight. Unless you weigh 100 sticks and find an average, you can't really say what the weight actually should be. Even then a 5-10% variance isn't all that uncommon.

I have owned a couple of T1s and the durability on both so far have been very good. I have NOT used or tried the NXG though. It would be a shame to think they aren't as durable...I hope this isn't true as Bauer has made leaps in the durability dept ever since the on95.

i just got mine and have used it for 2 games and 2 goals so far. The shaft of the nxg compared to the previous verions seems more square which i like. I feel the nxg is a tad bit lighter then the normal T1. I realy like the nxg for the puck feel and balance, the pucks fly off and are accuarete. So far i am very happy and i have yet to have any Bauer Duarability issues. My older T1 has last a season and a half, my APX has lasted a half season. The only downside to the NXG is i have the grip version and the coating is coming off down near the bottom from some face off hacks.

Is the NXG stick stiffer then the T1?

It sure feels that way. I have a 77 flex T1 and I recently purchased a 77 flex NXG and the NXG feels a little stiffer, plays closer to an 87 IMO. I still like the NXG though, feels sturdier. I'm happy with it so far.
