In need of curve and stick selections

Recommended Posts

Hi all I am relatively new to the concept of stick curves affecting your performance as I always thought they only come in one curve like floorball sticks and you can heat those blades and bend them (I don't heat my hockey blades). Currently I am using a Bauer Total One with a P92 Backstrom curve. My stick handling is fairly good but my stick has seem to have lost all its responsiveness. On the shooting side of things I have a seriously accurate snap shot and wrist shot that comes of quick but not as quick as I would like it to be. I am looking at the CCM RBZ stick currently with a Landeskog curve really like how it has a toe curve which opens up towards the tip. However it seems more like a shooting stick and I've had my fair share of those. I'd just like to know whether the whole trampoline effect thing is a gimmick and if there is anything out there that has the same curve as the Landeskog but more tailored for the puckhandler ? Any help is welcome feel free to detract me from CCM .....

You are not going to get any trampoline effect on a wrist shot, the puck is already on your blade so there is no impact to generate a rebound. I also prefer tapered sticks for easier loading and more consistent release on wrist shots and the RBZ does not taper.
