I finally had a chance and took my skate over to my LHS.... they're going to run some "diagnostic tests" on my skates. Come on guys... this isn't rocket science *face palm*... I'll let y'all know the out come of their "tests" lol

Diagnostic tests? LOL. Are they running a computer repair depot or a LHS.

Fairly simple to see if the holder isn't mounted squarely on the boot.

How can you see that the holder is incorrectly mounted without pulling it off ?

Ok, so the diagnosis is in from the "diagnostic testing"... ready for it?... My steel is bent (Really? I didn't know that! *insert sarcasm*). Both runners replaced under warranty. Let's see how long this steel lasts. Keep you all posted.

Did they tell you if your holders are mounted squarely/properly on your boot?

If you put new steel into holders that aren't square on the boot the steel is going to bend again right away.

I've had numerous problems with this LHS (its a big chain, but I won't name it by name... no bashing allowed), but they didn't mention it... I'm going to assume (never assume 'cuz it makes an ass outta u and me) that the holders are square and the fellow told me my right steel had a 'kink' in the heel... If the steel bends again, I'll just show up again at the store (new one year warranty for steel starts as of today)
