default user 3 Report post Posted November 20, 2012 I just broke my Easton ST and I really liked that stick, and now that Easton is only making Makos and Stealths I am wondering what's a good comparable stick. Ive tried looking everywhere for any left over ones still for sale with not luck. I'm not really concerned about it being another Easton stick. I did however buy the ST on clearance so I'm not looking for something that's to expensive either.
Beleafer 14 Report post Posted November 20, 2012 I believe the Mako M5 is the new ST. Don't quote me on that though.Hopefully my ST doesn't break anytime soon. Got it on clearance as well, loving it.

Got it on clearance as well, loving it.I loved mine. Should have got more then one when I had the chance. I did how ever notice the bottom of the blade wore down quicker then some of the other sticks I've had/have. Have you noticed that?Where did you guys see/hear the M5 same the same? Not saying I dont believe you but this is the interwebs after all.

Not saying I dont believe you but this is the interwebs after all.Yeah I've noticed the paint at the bottom of the shaft chips really easily. I tape my entire blade so haven't noticed the actual blade chipping. And I'd just read that it was the replacement for the ST from some people on the internet and on this site:The Mako M5 is supposed to be the replacement for the ST. I was told by Easton that is not exactly like an ST, but it is more like an ST than the regular Mako and they're considering it the "replacement" for the ST and should give the closest performance to the ST as anything Easton makes.
