Difference B/W LSPro vs LS2 Runners

Recommended Posts

Which is a good thing, since I broke an LS2 completely in half last weekend out of the blue on a pair of X50s that are about 1 yr old. No shot impact or anything, was pretty weird. I know crap happens, but it really put a crimp in my weekend play :)

The replacements were really spendy locally, and PIAS had the current vapor skate line on 50% off sale, so I picked up a pair of 5.0's and stole the steel to put in my x50's. Yea, my wife said the same thing...WHY??? LOL..( because I like the vapor fit so much I wanted a spare pair for occasions just such as the broken blade....)

Which brings me to a question for jimmy. I noticed from searching that you are a fan of the Hotblades. The cheapest replacement steel I can find for the LS2 are the Hotblades, the ones Im looking at are the solid stainless ones, not the colored ones. Do you still think these are a superior runner to the stock LS2?

Is the only difference between Tuuk LS Pro and LS2 is that Pro is stainless steel and the steel can't be replaced (from what I gathered in search).

Steel quality is different as well. Holder isn't as stiff compared to LS.

I haven't had Hotblades for years. Not even sure if they are still out there. The orig hotblades were awesome, high carbon steel for great edges, and 40%lighter, and unbreakable. These were the one that had the plastic filler, there are hotblades out there that are just like regular steel. Those are fine though, steel quality exceeds OEM's.

I'd get Tuuk C+ over LSPro. Better steel and replaceable steel.

I'm looking into getting a pair of step steel for custom+ since nobody has them anymore. If that isn't an option then I'd be forced to get LSpro or 2.

Complete disappointment. LHS said they had tuuk custom+ in my size but not the steel. I was there twice to check on it and the screws/fasteners while getting other stuff. I then traveled around and finally found some step steel in custom+ my size. Now my LHS tells me the only have the left holder, not the right.

FUUUUUUUUUU

Try another store.

This.

Also, I just checked Bauer's stock and holders are available in all sizes except 9 for left and 8 for right and steel is available in all sizes except 11 so maybe someone can order what you need.
