Rattling thing in my holder

I have a pair of nike v10s and in the lightspeed holder in the back part, theres this rattling. I pulled out the sole and that little plug in the heel and saw this long metal sort of rod. I tightened it with my allen key, but it always seems to come lose again.

Any ideas on how to fix? the noice is annoying.

Is your blade loose, have you ever removed the nut, do your holders have the scallops on the bottom?

Just apply a little bit of thread lock to the screw you have to keep tightening down and it should never rattle loose again. Make sure you get the temporary/removeable thread lock though and not the permanent.

Like JR posted - BLUE Loctite...make sure you don't use RED. you'll be pulling and replacing the holders if you ever have trouble with a blade if you do.

i dont think it is affecting my blade....the piece seems to just help tighten the blade screw but remains in there. im not sure if I can screw it out or not, but i will tr; cause right now its loose, but doesnt fall out.

It's the bolt.

Just remove the blade, put some blue loctite on the bolt, and reassemble. Or remove the bolt, put the loctite in the hole, and reassemble.
