First ice game

I played my first organized game of ice hockey last week in roughly 15 years. Man did it feel great! Despite playing a couple of games of shinny, I've been playing roller hockey almost exclusively.

My skating certainly needs work but I was surprised with my endurance (1.5 hours of ice tme). I did find myself floating around a but and I'll need to work on my positioning and awareness. I am happy to report that I did score one goal too! Not a bad way to end 2012/start 2013 by being back on the ice!

I love playing with guys like you, it's amazing how much rust they shake off after 4-5 games. By the end of the season, they're an integral part of the team.
