CCM U+ CL and a weird problem.

Recommended Posts

Hello

I've recently bought CCM U+ CL skates. They were both new and i bought them in an authorized CCM distributor. After proper baking in true skate oven i put them to the CCM Fit Machine. Everything seemed to be ok until i compared their stiffness.

When i sqeeuze them and check stiffness left skate is more stiff than right one. When i strongly press the skate with my thumb the right one bend more.

The difference is noticeable. So left skate is more stiff and harder than right one.

I also have Supreme one.8 "Made in Thailand" and they are the same stiffness. So why CCM U+ CL Made in Canada are not :-(

What is wrong with right skate ?

There could be several reasons other than a manufacturers problem. I dont know what a "CCM Fit Machine" is but heres my 2 cents..

Did you bake both skates for the same time at the same temperature? (at what temp/time did you bake them??)

Also how long did you wait after you baked them before you skated on them?

And do you tie both skates the same? or do you tend to bend your right ankle alot when you skate?

Maybe it's the left skate that is too stiff? There is no way for any of us to know what, if anything, is wrong. The guesses that you get are likely to vary from possibly related to wild conjecture and supposition.

The CCM "fit machine" applies pressure all around the boot, squeezing it against your foot, to attempt to get the best fit after baking.

Hi

Yes, they were baked exactly at the same temperature and time. I didn't care about time and temperature because an experienced employee did this.

I did wait about 1 day (20 hours).

Usually i try to tie both skate the same. Not sure about bending right ankle i have to check this.

I compared both skates to another CCM U+ CL skate and my left skate was similar, right one was little softer.

Now i remember that right skate was little less stiff before baking. Maybe the right skate was used many times to be tried on in store.

Maybe i'm a paranoid about that stupid stiffness but heck they are top of line skates, made in canada and not cheap :-)

Thanks for the answers.

P.S.

Fuk deez sheet, ok i'm gonna stop beetching about these skates and start skating.
