Edmonton and Carolina BOTH missed the playoffs the year after that final.

Look at all 3 teams' final two games. Could this have worked out any better? DET and CLB having identical match-ups, and Dallas has the two teams ahead of them to make it through. Awesome to have such meaningful games so late in the season!
