Good light set of chassis

Recommended Posts

Well my strong suit is ice hockey, and when it comes to roller I'm less knowledgable. Are the magnesium chassis from mission the lightest available? I took my old ice skates removed the holders and put my old mission chassis (7 years old) on them and they have been working great, but damn they are heavy. Looking for something a little lighter as I'm starting to do inline again

Well, there are "newer" mission mags (eg on the APXR2) out there with additional cut-outs, but the weight difference is negligible, no human being will be able to feel it.

Is it heavy for a roller skate or for an ice skate?

Unfortunatly with the chasis and wheel weight added roller skates will always be a little bit heavier.

One of the lightest roller skates out there is the top tier mission ac1 and it is extremely light.

I then picked up a 3rd tier ice skate and it was noticeably lighter. There isn't much you can do untill there is a breakthrough in wheel tech.

Oh yes I definitely understand roller skates will always be a little heavier, but I have some old low end mission chassis that probably weigh as much as the AC1 as a whole haha
