Bauer Skate Repair

Recommended Posts

I bought the APX2 skates when they came out last year. I love them, they are great fit on my foot. I recently was playing and took a puck or something off the skate and after the game I noticed a gash in the bottom graphite. I was wondering if you guys think this will have an impact on performance? Also, Is there a way to repair it so that it does not spread or get any worse? I included some images of the spot, if you want to see a better pic or something, let me know.

Thanks!!!

Hard to tell with the size of your pictures. Usually there is minimal if any impact to performance. It looks like a pretty good gash, but it should be OK. Tough to say without seeing in person.

You can try to clean up the loose pieces near the damage, then use some JBWeld to cover the area...

bigger pics would help, but i knew a few guys with x60's this would happen to and if under warranty bauer just replaced them. being a pro shop guy since 05 i cant say i'd have an in shop remedy for ya. some custom shops do different outsoles but it may not be cost effective.

Sorry about the pics, I had to find a place to put them, so I used google and I think they shrunk them...

Do you have a link to the JBWeld you recommend?
