Most important features when buying gloves

Recommended Posts

I have a pair of the CA5 gloves, and I for one would like to see mesh gussets. Maybe a hole/vent in the back of the hand like bauer or ccm 4 roll pros. Other than that I thoroughly approve of the existing gloves. Definitely mesh gussets.

What kind of moves are you making? I hear people say things like that all the time when trying on gloves but I have never had a glove interfere with any movement I've ever tried to make on the ice.

In a hockey stance while wearing gloves, pull the blade of your stick all the way in to your top-hand side skate as if you're catching a pass in your skates. The cuff roll prevents the maximum range of my wrist bend. I cut my stick to touch the bottom of my chin, so it's considered relatively a short stick and thus shouldn't be a factor.

  1. What are the most important features when buying gloves? Protection and Fit

What type of Fabric do you prefer? All tufftek with carbon pinky

What type of finger gussets?stretch

Stretch in the palm?sure, a bit

Ventilation? not that important to me

Colors or design? 4-rolls, Kovalchuk cuff. all red (redwings), or red with a little white. (never ever all white)

What is your target price you like to pay? Warrior Franchises aren't cheap, 200+

Are there features you think are missing in gloves? 3D embroidery like the Bauers 4rolls, maybe we'll see it on the AX1 glove soon.

Fit? Loose or tight fight? Loose, however I will be going for the Narrow Warrior 4 rolls next time.

Favorite gloves you have worn, 1) Warrior Franchises 2) Salming PG1
