Mako vs Mako Pro

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, just wanting your honest thoughts on the Easton Mako gloves? I'm in Aus and can't try them on anywhere near my local.. So any assistance is really appreciated :)

First of all, what is the difference between the standard and the pro version other than the palms?

Second, how do they fit compared to Warrior Bully/Bonafide gloves? - I've read they are really tight.. tight like what other gloves? One90's, Vapors, CCm Crazy light, Warrior narrow? I am not a big fan of the really tight fitting gloves (one90's in 14 inch)

Third and last, how do the Stealth RS gloves compare in fit?

Thanks heaps in advance guys!

It takes some breaking in and they look kinda funky, but they definitely work! I don't recall any pro actually using a Mako glove with the same key tech (Fast Fingers), but as a rule of thumb, pro gloves could be heavily customized from a different palm, outer shell material, amount of padding, cuff etc. when comapred to retail models.

I believe you are referring to their retail Easton Pro glove then, which doesn't have the same palm or Fast Fingers.

I like both gloves. They both fit like a tapered glove, meaning snugger fingers that bloom out a wider backroll and cuff. Compared to the Warriors, I'd say that they are slightly snugger on the fingers and backhand, but not to the extent of an anatomically fitting glove, like the RS or One90.

Think I answered all of your questions?

Yep! Thanks AIREAYE. Im still deciding between the pro stock mako's, pro stock CCM U CL and the retail Warrior Bonafide/Franchise. I'm starting to lean away from the Mako to be honest and more towards the CCM (purely on a visual basis haha) From what I gather the CCM U CL will have a bit more space in the glove than the Mako's, but not as much as the Warrior's. Am I on the right track? Cheers!

Pro stock gloves could be modified to feel wider or snugger than their retail version. Also, keep in mind that the Franchise has 2 fits, a wider 'Regular' version and a Narrow version. The Bonafides fit like the Narrow version, which I would say are a bit wider than your Easton Pros.
