Ccm u+ cl baking question

I'm trying to find new skates and have a pair of ccm shock le's in a 9.5e currently which fit very comfortably but I need to wear a couple pairs of socks to help with heel lock.

I want to upgrade to the crazy lights and tried the d width out and it pinched pretty good. Slight pain that was right in the middle of my foot on the outside.

I know the e width is more comfortable but I couldn't talk the employee into baking the d width to see if it would get a little bit wider.

When you bake skates do they tend to expand enough to fit my foot or should I get the wider size and hope that it contracts a bit with the bake?

If it was a slight pinch I'd say it'd be okay after a bake but if it "pinched pretty good" I'd be hesitant to throw down the coin for it. It's really hard to say.
