Suggestions for vintage colourway on gloves

I want one more set of goat skin Eagles. I want to do a black and tan that doesn't look weird. I am thinking black on the cuffroll, the thumb, and the fingers, leaving the rolls tan. I am also going for a tall cuff; not Gretzky tall, but taller than what has been shown over the last 15 years or so.

I know that the modern fingers and rolls design doesn't allow for a total throwback look, and I don't want it to look silly. I may just do a tall cuff H34/CP94- type glove with minimal to no black. Black gussets and binding could set it off.

I have searched on the internet for ideas, but I didn't know if any of you lot had stuff at home to give me inspiration.

My favorite colorway of all time is Quebec Nordiques; so much so that I bought a pair of 4 rolls, just so I could have the gloves in case I design a uniform for a team that I am playing on, in this color scheme:

I had not worn 4 roll gloves since last I played in 1996 (when I did not like them then, when they were the only option for gloves), but I am just such a fan of the QUE colorway that I got them anyway. Wore the gloves the other night, and played one of my worst games ever. Not the gloves fault of course, but boy did my hands feel sluggish in these, after having worn tapered/contoured gloves exclusively since making my "comeback."

Anyway, it sounds like you would not a colorway with so much flair. I would love to see a team bring back this colorway.

That is an attractive colourway!!! You can get the sweater with the Fleur de lis motif, as well!!!

I am going for a different neutral, so to speak. Black has been done to death (though is always a good option), white kinda gets some chirping, I'm not good enough for gold or silver metallic (with the subsequent chirping that would come), so black and tan seems the way to go.

If ya like 4 roll style, then I am sure you will like them. I just can't deal with all the empty space and the sluggish feel. I wonder if I ought to have gone with 14 inch myself just to get a more snug feel, but do not wish to steer the thread to me, so yea ...
