Got myself a custom player cage

Just saw this topic... my brother (Prenny207) did rep a company making old-school cages for a little while. I can't remember the name of it, and it was only around for a couple years. Basically the cage was like something you would have seen in the 70s and early 80s, cat-eye style, no chin cup, and no protection under the jawline. My dad wore one, but a puck actually did get through and hit him in the eye. (It had to be at a perfect angle to get through.) He suffered some damage, nothing permanent, but it was pretty scary. My brother still wears his cage, but he had an extra bar welded on so no pucks can get through. He also fastened a small chin cup to it.

I measured mine with a puck, and if a puck got through, any other cage would be just a dangerous. Crikey!!! Sorry to hear about your Dad!

I wear a chin cup with mine, for certain!!!!
