Just got my XXX skates

Recommended Posts

I just picked up my pair of XXX's yesterday at my LHS. They are unbelieveable, many of the problems that i had with my XX's seem to be solved with the XXX's. The liner is different, and seems like it will be much stronger than the XX liner, also, the perf blades in the new lightspeeds have much smaller holes, so i think that they should hold up longer than the old ones did. The XXX's fit almost exactly the same as the XX's, they are stiffer, but this could be due to the fact that my XX's are a year and a half old, and have lost all their stiffness. If you have any questions about them, i'll do my best to answer them.

Why the heck doesn't Bauer get the message, we DO NOT WANT LITTLE HOLES in the blades! The blades crack well enough on their own without adding more stress points!!!

It's just Source For Sports. The one we have where i live is really good for getting everything in as early as possible, i remember when the Vapor XX sticks came out, they were one of the first stores in Canada to get them, and they had a Synergy demo skate in since about September. Probably more than half of the store is devoted to hockey, so it's a good place.

Try calling hockeygeeks. They are a SFS and usually havea great selection. It may not be up on their site, but I'd be surprised to see them not have it instock.
