Easton Stick Flex

Recommended Posts

I did a search but was unable to find a flex rating after cutting chart on recently new sticks Mako II to present. I currently have a 75 flex V9E cut to 54(heel to end), but it is a little too stiff for me now. Anyone know if it's similar to the Bauer chart on their site? Wondering if I should make the drop to 65. My ideal sticks are at 54" between 75-78 in flex.

Thank you

Are the shafts of the v9 still as whippy as the mako2?

I have the mako II e28 in "85" flex (which feels more like 75) and "100" (which feels more like 85-90) & the bottom blade on my 100 stick reads 85... I found this wierd considering in how whippy both were for their rating.

Besides changes to the blade, is the V9 using the same shaft/profile?

The V9 will play stiffer than the makoII. And V9E will play softer than the RSII.

+1 on the V9 being stiffer than the Mako II. I just sold my V9 because loved the Mako II for the whippiness and my warranty V9 replacement just wasn't the same. If anything the V9 reminded me of my Nexus 1000 with a slightly lower kick point.

I had a Mako II (85 flex) that broke on the 28th day and got a V9 (85 flex). The Mako II was borderline too whippy and the V9 was the stiffest 85 flex stick i've ever used.

I went ahead and got an 85 flex V9E and it was incredibly whippy, like the whippiest 85 flex stick i've ever used. I've moved on to a 100 flex v9e and its just perfect.

Its really bizarre how inconsistent the flex ratings can be from line to line.
