Bauer TotalOne NXG Pants Shell Alternatives?

This may have been covered already (and let me know if that's the case) but all I could find was 1 or 2 suggestions in the "teardown" thread for the NXG pants. In that thread, it was mentioned that an alternative to the NXG shell is the Nexus shell. I believe another person was using a CCM Pro shell. Does anyone know of any other shells that work with the NXG girdle/adaptable core? In that same thread, I believe another person stated the 9K shell does NOT work with the NXG pants.

I have a blue shell but I'm looking around for a black shell. And from what I read in that "teardown" review thread, the NXG shell isn't all that great so I'd like to know if there are alternatives besides the Nexus shells.

Every shell with a belt works with the NXG girdle, there's nothing special about it.

I'm using Easton, CCM and Warrior pant shells with mine.

Right - the thing that the NXG shell has going for it is that the shell stays in place by attaching to it, as opposed to being held with just a belt.

Any shell will work, however.

Awesome! Thanks guys. Now, all I have to do is find a shell in size "small". Pro stocks are virtually non-existent.

Does it have to be a pro stock shell? There's plenty to select from in the retail market.
