JonnyNiceNeat 2 Report post Posted September 18, 2014 Used to own Reebok 16K's, but the tendon guard was ripping off - even after repair. I really liked the fit and feel of the boot, but I wanted to find something that would be more durable for the coming years. In come the Bauer Supreme 190's - I played my first game with them yesterday; stiffness felt great, but the neutral pitch is something I'm not sure I can overcome. What are some common methods to alter the pitch of the 190's to closely match my old 16K's?
A2rhino 63 Report post Posted September 18, 2014 Some simple shims/lifts should do the trick.
JonnyNiceNeat 2 Report post Posted September 19, 2014 Thank you - I'm thinking about a profiling option; while it would only be temporary until they have to be profiled again, do you think that would be another option?
laserrobottime 149 Report post Posted September 19, 2014 Do the shim. It's harder for your sharpener to screw up. 1mm should be fine, 2mm will be slightly more aggressive. The EPro holder also has a 10' radius while the Tuuk steel has a 9', you may need to switch that to be comfortable.
JonnyNiceNeat 2 Report post Posted September 19, 2014 Good advice - I appreciate the input, folks. Before any alterations, I'll get on the ice a few more times and see how I cope with the new skates.

Any possible reasons to not do it?
