vapor or supreme width dilema

Recommended Posts

I have apx 2 9.5d I am fond of the boot itself however the problem that i have is that the toe box is too narrow on the instep of each skate "my big toes rest against the box." would I be better off with a ee in vapor or a supreme 9.5d? I had them punched and it dosnt make a differance with the toe box. Thanks

Easiest solution would be to try both (and other brands, if possible). My guess is the Supreme toebox won't be big enough as well. But try it out anyway. For the Vapor, when you go to an EE, I recommend starting off with a smaller size. For you, maybe a 9EE or even an 8.5EE.

For comparison, my shoe size is a 9.5EE in a Nike. When I tried on a Supreme/Vapor 7.5D, both were too narrow and too short in length. When I tried on a Vapor 7EE, the length and width felt pretty damn good (my right foot could even go down to a 6.5EE!). For Supreme, I had to go to an 8D to fit my foot in width-wise and lengthwise, but it was a bit too big in length. If I had to guess (since the following are more custom sizes and hard to find), I'd probably be a 7 5/8E or a 7 3/4 E in Supreme. So, yeah... try on a bunch of sizes before buying, don't assume!

I have wide feet...currently wearing supreme one 60 in 10.5EE and have had issues with my toe being cramped...so much i have been eyeing new skates myself. Went in and finally had them punched and wow what a difference. I think i can skate a while longer in these...but now the ankles are starting to feel bad...they had to bake them and i mentioned i was concerned about baking them and that impacting the foams.

Anyways while waiting i tried on both rbz and tack skates...wow what a difference in the toe box...what i noticed was that the toe cap on bauer comes further back on the skate and that impacts the toe box fit on a wide foot. My only problem with the ccm skates are i do not like the way the ankles for around my ankle...they feel weird. The tacks was better than the rbz...but the tacks was narrower and tighter on my side foot. Will probably need to check out tacks in 10EE next time.

I myself thin you should look at the supremes and i cannot understand why so many people stick to vapor...becuase i have a hard time thinking people have such small feet

Vapor isn't small. It's narrow and has a V-shaped design. So if you have a narrow heel and wide forefoot, Vapor's would probably be the ideal model to try first. I found that the Supreme has a shallow U-shape design, which is good for a normal ankle and a normal forefoot.

+1 about shape. But Vapor have wide pocket for low or not arch. Supreme mid-low arch. Supreme have wider heel shape, and that feel as Vapor need +0.5 size for have same feel as Supereme. About why many use Vapor: pro or who >5 years on skates and u have low or not arch.
