Custom Bauer Tongue

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if Bauer offers a custom tongue that would almost be a cross of the APX2 tongue and the NXG?

Ideally i would like something similar to the APX2 tongue but with the springy/flex feel of the NXG!

Any suggestions would be great!

I emailed them about tongues and got a reply of "sorry, we don't sell direct". Are you going to order custom skates?

They have backed the NXG tongue with the thick supreme felt on custom skates before.

Yes would be for customs!

I like the flex and springy feel or the NXG inserts that clip on the tongue, may sound silly but is they a custom tongue where something similar built in with the same thickness as the APX?

I added felt from a donor tongue to my nxg and my mx3 tongue ill upload pics was pretty easy to do and very affective made them more comfy and more protective without having to replace the tongue

A pro shop can order those from Bauer from what I've heard.

I tried to have hockey giant and my local rink shop order new bauer tongues and they said they couldn't , as far as I know the only way to have a custom bauer tongue is if you are having custom order skates made through them , you may find someone selling the nxg or the mx3 tongue since it would seem not everyone likes them myself included , but if you like the tongue and would just like to have thicker felt that's a really easy fix took me less than an hour to do both skates without removing the existing tongue I used tongues from donor skates I picked up at play it again spots really cheap and it worked out great , best part is the added felt can be removed and its a totally stock skate again incase you sell the skates in the future and much cheaper than having custom skates made

one pair are mx3 and one pair are nxg with added felt to the back of the tongue
