Vapor shins, fit compared to nexus and supreme?

Recommended Posts

Need some new shins since my pro-stock Jofa 6070 are on their last leg (haha)

The local sports stores here only stock reebok shins, and the strapping system sucks, so i'm buying new shins online..

I really like the fit of the Nexus shins, volumous and bulky. A lot like Jofa shins.

But this time i thought i would try something different, less bulky to see if there is any difference

in mobility etc.. The thing is, i have quite big calves, or their kinda wide just below the knee.

Iv'e tried on a pair of supreme one8 shins, and they didn't fit me very well at all. The knee cap were ok,

but the shin part felt narrow, straight and just wrong.. They say that supreme has anatomical fit, but it's surely

not been molded after my shin, thats for sure... It actually felt better when i put the left pad on my right shin..

How do the new vapor shin pads fit compared to both nexus and supremes? I know old vapors were really narrow, but the newer ones does actually look much wider below the knee, then taper down the shin.. I havent had the chance to try on the vapors so..

Thanks in advance..

Im a 13" shin pad wearer. I tried on both some lower end bauer supremes and some x60 vapor shins (current range).

I too didnt like the supreme fit around the shins..

The X60s were better..but i felt they tapered down too much near the bottom of the shin.

Im thinking about trying some warrior shin pads seeing as hockeymonkey.eu has them on sale!
