can sby please tell me the exact thread size of the blademaster screw-in diamond dresser ?? thx

If you're considering using a different brand, most are similar thread size. Just avoid the ones for Dupliskate.

Thx....i do not consider another brand ...its just that the kids ove4tightened the diamond and therefore snapped the thing ....i bored the remainings out and need heli-coil replacement...to make a quality repair .....as it is not metric spec i am not100% sure what the Us counterpart is

It is 1/4-28.

Should be easy to find, its the normal thread pitch for 1/4" fine thread.

Yes. Here it is called 1/4-28 UNF.

I think Helicoil kit number for that size is 5528-4

Uggggh. Brutal. At that point I'd probably just order a new quill. Let us know how the repair goes and how it stands up over time.

heli coil thread replacement done properly is no band aid fix and, especially when threads are in aluminum ,, an improvement over the oem thread .

it will last ..at least until one of the kids will snap the next diamond again.

a new quill means some serious $$ in our country .
