When I start from a dead stop I feel like I can't get up to speed same thing when im chasing down pucks. What can be causing this? Sorry if this is the wrong forum. .

Make sure you are leaning in the direction you want to go. Also look up some exercises to work on quick feet.

Could be a number of things.

What condition are your bearings in, do they need oil?

Hilo or hummr? (The hummr has a disadvantage on launch with the longer chassis and extra surface contact).

How heavy are you? If you've put on weight recently it all adds up.

Is your technique correct? Long powerful strides.

What condition is your skates in, are they getting soft?

These are a few questions you can ask yourself and if that doesn't work there's slways skate suicides.

Hope this helps!

Bearings are fairly new and im on a hi lo frame. Im thinking its probably just my technique. Wondering if I put softer wheels in the front and back spot to see if that helps by giving better grip at takeoff
