Then sit out when the ref calls it. Do whatever you want, but you are gambling and it could cost you a championship. If it's me, I wouldn't take that chance, but its your choice. I agree its stupid, but that won't change the refs mind.

I believe your not supposed to add or remove stickers as the insurance companies claim it can void the contract because the lack of or addition of adhesive may defect the helmet. That's how it was explained to me.

Oh yeah, I know that.. it's like every football helmet has to have the little warning sticker on it for liability purposes. I remember back in the days of pop warner they checked 4 things... cleats, jock, the helmet sticker and weight.

I just don't get why the first thing this kid does with a new helmet is yank the stickers off the back.

I still think it is stupid, I havent used stickers since March, not one single Ref has said anything to me, not gave me a warning, nothing, so right now I am keepin it the way it is, it's a new helmet, so wouldn't it of had to pass the inspection to get on my head anways??????

Funny story about this: So my citys ball hockey team is in the Ontario Provincial finals a few years back, and were coming up to the face off, and the ref goes to one of our players, "son your missing your safety stickers, please leave the floor and only come back when you have it". This kid is our best player, so his dad takes the city bus (were in Kingston, 3 hours from home) to the nearest Crappy Tire, rips the sticker off some CCM helmet and comes back 20 mins later slaps the sticker on the guys helmet and says go play son. Funniest thing ever. I feel sorry for the kid that buys that other helmet though

Just be safe and buy a new helmet, it's your own fault accept it.

Yes, and believes its stupid. However there is no way the Ref knows its new, and not a homemade knockoff. I've seen this called a few times and its usually outside my area. Every year they choose something to crack down on, just hope they don't decide going into playoffs to crack down.
