JimmyTheDriver 36 Report post Posted December 21, 2015 I've always played with 80-85 flex Bauer sticks. Latest was/is a 77 Tacks cut to about 79-80 and I've really struggled with it. Just feels so noodle catching passes, and almost too flexible shooting. I am loving the new Ribcor Reckoner and they have two flexes in my range, a 75 or an 85.... Which would essentially be cut to 79 or 89 respectively. At 6ft 180, muscular build, would it be smarter to try the 85 cut to 89? Or is the tacks just like that and I can expect a different feel from the Ribcor at 79? I'd hate to replace my noodle with... Well... Another noodle. With my size and strength, A/B league beer league player, I'd like to think I could properly flex a 90. Left wing, wanna be dangler, wrist shooter. -Jim
nicker87 47 Report post Posted December 21, 2015 What Bauer sticks were you using? I ask because your trying to compare two different sticks in the Tacks and Ribcor, one being mid kick the other low. So depending what you've used in the past could explain why you find it soft.

All mid kicks, the Ribcore would be the first low kick I've gone after. Yesterday I got the 85 Reckoner, but returned it today for a 75. They had an uncut 85 for demo and I loved it. Problem is I'd have to cut it so I either get a 75 cut to 80 or 85 cut to approx 90.
nicker87 47 Report post Posted December 21, 2015 The Ribcor is gonna play stiffer or atleast feel that way because it's not going to be flexing in your lower hand like a mid kick, so the 75 is probably your best bet in giving you similar flex of what you're use to.
