Bauer Supreme & CCM Tacks Skate fit (forefoot width mainly)

Hey guys,

currently got a set of Supreme 170's in 9.5D, i've had them baked and they still pinch my forefoot fairly hard. Am looking at getting some Tacks 6052 (on sale) and was wondering what the fit is like compared to the supreme, and would a D be wider in tacks than supreme or would i need an EE.

If the Supreme is too snug in the forefoot, I'd definitely recommend trying on the Tacks. It's a bigger skate all around. If the Tacks are a little too big, try out a Jetspeed skate. Those fit slightly wider than a Supreme boot but not quite as big as a Tacks. I've found that CCM skates tend to run a half size big as well. I'd try on a Tacks in a 9D to start.

Make sure to properly locate your pressure point. I only discovered the whole issue with my feet after I had a session with the Bauer Pro sales rep.
But yes, If the supremes are too narrow on the forefoot, give the taks a try...

You can also try punching/stretching out the boot.

The D tacks is much wider than a D supreme. I had to punch out my EE supremes for a tailor's bunion and did not have to punch out my tacks.
