Bauer Supreme & CCM Ribcor skate fit similarities

Hi All,

I'm after information on the similarities or differences between Bauer Supreme and CCM Ribcor skates.

My current ice skates are Nike Bauer One55 and are a very comfortable fit.  I've been seeking some Supremes for a Marsblade inline conversion but have not had any luck finding either decent quality second hand skates or new stakes at the right price point (located in Australia).  I'll be using the skates for off-ice training and think it'd be beneficial to have as similar fitting skates as possible.

I can source new Ribcor 43K skates at a reasonable price but I don't have the opportunity to try them on before purchasing so I'm after some feedback on the similarities between the Ribcor and Supremes.

I'm of the understanding that the pumps in the Ribcor will allow for a good level of heel lock and customization and that the Ribcor line offers an anatomic fit similar to that offered by the Supreme line.

Any advice you kind people can provide will be greatly appreciated.

The two lines aren't necessarily as close as you'd think. The Supreme line is more related to the Jetspeed line due to the depth. The Ribcor is more closely aligned with the Vapor line. If you're comfortable with the Supreme fit, I'd stick with that if I were you. Could the Ribcor work? Possibly. Is it worth taking a chance? Probably not.

When I was trying on skates recently, they put me in Supreme EE, a Total Hockey SMU CCM Jetspeed EE, & a CCM Tacks EE.  He didn't even mention the Ribcor line as an option (I assume because of my wide foot).
