rep brought that new supertacks pair in last week for the local ccm raffle

.....xcellent looking skate imho !!

......came in 8,5D so I gave it a try , fit my foot very good , maybe slightly narrow forefoot ...as i always have EE my question is :   somebody skating in these already that can comment on the fit ???      I am a 9W S17 user    ...thx

Fit is a very quirky subject. My son is skating in them (+/- 2.5 weeks size 7.0EE).  To him they feel exactly as his APX skates (6.5EE) with the slight qualifier that they are a hair tight in the forefoot. He has always skated in Vapors. He finds them super comfortable with an excellent wrap. They were professionally fitted and baked. He is using CCM MED custom footbeds. Swapped out the stock SB black for Step. A beautifully engineered skate from top to bottom, not mention a perfect fit and finish.

thx ...to me they felt like supreme fit ...unbaked though    ...absolutely with you about the beautifully engineered version ..have ordered a 8,5EE ...will report

My son and I both tried them at the CCM Demo Day at Schwan's Super Rink.  I typically wear an E width and they only had D widths for the Demo.  I tried on a 10.5 (size 12 shoe) and found them the fit to be pretty good and they were nearly wide enough, but not quite.  Not uncomfortable to skate in though.  Both my son and I liked how they felt to skate in on the ice.  Very responsive, with good feel for contact.  However he found the fit a little too loose (normally a size 6D) volume wise.   I would say they run wider than most with more volume in the back of the skate.  Two things about the boot that I didn't care for; The boot is Ultra stiff, and the toebox has a lower profile and rides closer to the top of your foot.

So is the new Super Tacks fit a drastic difference from the 1st Gen Tacks skate?
