Rebaking

Hey boys, I recently got a new pair of skates. I used to have insane foot pain, but solved it by loosening those middle rows of laces. It felt great, but I was wondering if I should get them baked again because i loosened up the laces. Will it screw up the toungue if I don't? Cheers!

I don't see a need to if it remains comfortable.

You have not say which skates you got. With most skates you would not gain anything by rebaking  unless you bought them second hand or added some odd insoles that pushed your ankle bones outside the pockets.

I had mine re-baked but that is because the shop forgot them in the oven the first time & I don't think they were warm enough to mold properly the first time.  The first shop had closed in my town so I ended up going to a different one for the re-bake, as a bonus they did not charge me for the bake.

I wouldn't think changing your lacing would necessitate a re-bake.
