Anyone heard about Powertek?

Recommended Posts

Interesting.... the $69 Powertek "Sensation" is supposedly tapered from the top down and is a one-piece. Might be interesting to try.....

That could mean its a true-one piece. I believe they technically have a "full stick" taper. Could be wrong on that, but I thought that was how it worked.

My buddy ordered a couple of those Powertek sticks and his initial reaction was that he loved them. He chose the flex, curve, lie and shaft texture. In his opinion he would order more because they were such a good bang for the buck.

The sniper is their true OPS, only comes in Fischer or Sakic. The Sensation is ok, nothing special at all.

That's interesting. I spoke to them not too long ago and they said that all sticks were going to ship with grip, there are only 3 curves in most sticks and only 2 senior flexes. I have a couple of the 04 models in the shop and I've sold one senior model. The junior mid level ones sold like crazy, mostly because the kids liked the blue and we had them for $59.

So the sensation is a 2 piece composite? I'm about to order one from a guy i know who imports them. Is the Sniper a better choice than the Sensation? On their website it says: "one piece compression mould" does that mean it's a 2-piece? I'm a swed and I'm not that very good in english so please can anyone help me out?

I saw the sensation(or i might be wrong...) but i remember it was marked pretty light...400gr or it was 425gr

I think i saw both that why i'M a bit f*cked up...

By the way, these stick were nowhere near a Stealth...really...the balance wasnt very great!!!...and i dont like their curve selection...(i'm iggy type)

I prefer their 460gr model... but for this price i mean,,you can't realy go wrong...

Their sensation felt more like a One-piece...(a grip kinda like the XX a blade that look like a composite blade) you get the idea!

Which one is the 460g, Pulsation (blue/white)? But why feels the sensation MORE like a 1-piece than the Sniper? Besides that it don't have the grip feel?

The Sniper don't have a composite blade? But if I should choose between the Sniper and the Sensation, which should I buy? Prices? How's the balde patterns? I've thought of a Modano or Sakic, and the sniper can only be ordered in SAkic and Fischer right? So what's the big diferens between Sakic and Modano?

the difference between sakic and modano is HUGE lol...modano is like one of the less curve blade in the marked compared to the sakic(LOOK AT THE PATTERN DB)

IMO...their low-end OPS look more like An ABS blade with a certain grip on it(which is pretty cool... lol but useless) Think about the Vector LINES...v100-v110-(are abs)v120( is texalium...a bit more composite) and the v130( is suppose to be fully composite)

It does have a composite blade but not like a full synergy blade...and yes i'm pretty sure it the blue and white at 460gr

BUT HEY THAT YOUR CALL!!

So the sniper does'nt have a fully composite blade while the sensation has.. ok I'll think I'll get a sensation then, with a Sakic blade or Modano blade... thanks
