N1ckvh 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2016 So Unfortunately Easton sticks aren't easily available To try before you buy where I am in the UK, or at least for the current range. I got a V5e 75 flex E3 curve, and loved it. I then got a V9e 75 flex E3 curve, and when it arrived it was pro stock. The V9e seems better balanced and noticeably lighter, so became my main stick. It takes some getting used to going back to the V5e. Obviously these aren't made anymore, or are hard to come by so I need to consider one from the new range sadly, as I've split the blade on my V9e and there's only so many times I can repair it... I'm hoping to get some opinions of this new range?! The stealth C7.0 and stealth CX ST look to be equivalent, but both seem to be heavier. The CX looks to be more durable but that's as much as I can tell from countless hours of reading online! Any help/opinions/reviews are appreciated!
ulf 5 Report post Posted November 29, 2016 the c7 and cx aren't equivalent to te v9e the v9e was an exceptionally great stick that had crappy durability. the apx and many others didn't have as much pop as it. one stick that seemed similar is the warrior qr1
innotastic 12 Report post Posted December 1, 2016 if the v9e you got is prostock, its really hard for us to compare sticks for you. i agree 100% with ulf, the v9e had a great shot but man was it brittle. the new csx has alright pop, and a whole lot more durable, but not like the v9e. xstartxtodayx 343 Report post Posted December 2, 2016 I'm in a similar boat, I've been using a V9e pro for the past season and love it. I just picked up a Stealth CXT (from HM's Black Friday sale) and am hoping it performs as well as the V9e, I'll be trying it out on Sunday night soi won't know til then. N1ckvh 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2016 Thanks guys. so, a mistake on my part... I don't think i have pro stock, just a V9e pro... I agree, the shaft is sturdy but the blade is brittle, and certainly does seem more 'whippy' than my V5e. in your opinons, what is the difference between shots? flex and weight balance? The balance and weight are the biggest thing for me, im surprised that this new range doesnt compare to the V9e. it's a shame really... xstartxtodayx - how did it play sunday? It felt slightly less whippy compared to my V9e but that could be due to the age of the V9e. The blade felt a little stiffer, especially towards the toe, hopefully that feeling holds up over time. Overall, considering the deal I got, I'm really happy with the stick.
