Stick Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

With Christmas right around the corner I figured I'd treat myself and pick up another twig.

Any recommendations on a good mid-kick stick? Saw a crazy price for the new True A 6.0SBP stick on Ebay but I'm unfamiliar with the performance of True sticks.

From what I've read, the SBP keeps the same shaft as the original True A sticks, but with a more durable blade. Assuming that is true, I'd wholeheartedly recommend that stick.  My only complaint with the original A6.0 was that the blade was pretty fragile, I absolutely love everything else about that stick.  The shaft loads easily for the flex rating, but it kicks hard enough to not feel like it lags behind my hands.

EDIT: Just checked eBay...For the price I saw listed for some new, hell yeah I'd grab one. In fact I think I will, so thanks for the heads up!

Agree with everything above.  After my first A6.0 bit the dust, I immediately picked up a second on clearance.  I found that it showed a lot of surface chips from slashes, but played still played true (pun intended).

My only hesitation to your original post: I view it as more of a low-kick stick.

The T120 and Ultra Tacks are 160 at HockeyMonkey in Senior, but the T120 is eligible for the running 25% off sale and the Ultra Tacks is only available in 105 flex if you're a righty.

I'ma big fan of True sticks. I have a A5.2 SBP and love it. I will agree with a post above about the surface chips, a little annoying. A $200 with a weight of 421g at that price point is damn near impossible to beat. Loads easy, and has a great quick release. I'm going to try the A4.5 SBP next as I want to try their mid-kick.

the surface chips I have are all in the hosel. The blade is still going strong and I've been playing this stick since April.
