Matching old skates pitch / profile

Recommended Posts

Last year I switched from a set of Easton Stealth RS skates to Bauer Supreme 190's. My skating has been off ever since.

  • " Just skate on them more... you will adjust to the difference"
  • "Try bending your knees more and get lower... that will fix it"

Spolier:  Still don't like it !

I will be buying a set of new runners and sending them to No Icing for the service. Or possibly getting a shim installed locally

What would you recommend to get a similar feel to the Easton Razor Bladz II runners ?

What is off with your skating?  Try to describe how you feel.

I often feel like I'm "going to flip over the handle bars" and fall on my face. it seems like there is not enough blade underneath me.

Both skates have a size 280 runner.

My stopping has been effected most and find it more difficult to stop on my weaker leg.

How many times have these skates been sharpened since new ?

What I suspect is the Bauer skates toes are high ,and you are trying to compensate with body position by putting your upper body further forward.    And the line from it work or making fall forward feeling or really falling is fine .

I have to fix bauers out of the box to be able to skate on them .

Where do you live?  I'm near Albany N.Y.  I can do what I do to mine for you if you like ?  Not a big deal  .if you are to far away ship them to me
