kosydar 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 Maybe Adidas should be on the moove too sometime. They make some hockey apparel for exemple Dalhousie University's hockey jersey, maybe they will try to jump in the equipment market sometime soon. I doubt that they will. Its a hard enough field to get into as it is. I talked with my friend who works at Adidas and she told me that its been discussed before, and they've decided against it. If they were going to get into it, I bet they'd buy out a company who was looking to sell, rather then start their own. Either way, I doubt it will happen, but if I hear anything, I'll let you guys know.
JR Boucicaut 3804 Report post Posted April 8, 2004 Think about it -What can Reebok and adidas possibly offer to the hockey equipment market that hasn't been discovered already? It's all about the apparel.

PMurphy17 25 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Adidas acutally sponsors all athletics at the schools they partner with. Dalhousie, Western & ND, and alot of other NCAA D-1 for other sports.Part of the deal is shoes and uniforms for Athletics. The real kicker is the on Campus Adidas store. In some US schools practically the entire campus covered in Adidas. The marketing program began in the US and works at few strong campus environment type schools in Canada. Here's the low down on Notre Dame hockey jerseys... They saw U of Western's hockey Jerseys and asked that the same person design theirs.
Dangles 0 Report post Posted April 12, 2004 Adidas should try and make a come back to hockey because that's what lots of companies are doing. I'm not saying 'make an OPS' I'm saying 'make hockey clothing/hats etc..' With Reebok now in the hcokey business will there be G-Unit skates? B)
