Eh, just personal preference. And judging by the diagram of the one on Mission's website, it looks to have a little more protection than the Tour and Hyper models.

My ankles are pretty strong, actually. This was my first ankle injury in 14 years of playing hockey.

Unfortunately, I have the upper body of a 12 year old. That's the problem.
