Steve Powell 0 Report post Posted April 15, 2019 Looking to replace the blades in my old Bauer Supreme 8000 skates but the Tuuk lightspeed holders won't accept any of the new blades available so looking at costly replacement of holders, unless I can find some old stock that will fit the original holders - Tuuk lightspeed '1'. Do blades for LS2 holders fit?
mickz 107 Report post Posted April 15, 2019 You can use blades made for the LS2 holder.
JR Boucicaut 3810 Report post Posted April 16, 2019 Yes, the only difference between the Lightspeed and LS2 holders were the bolt that held the steel to the holder.
Cavs019 710 Report post Posted April 16, 2019 The first gen LS holders also had those cutouts around the holes on the Vapor XX steel - made hitting the steel with a honing stone quite an adventure. I can’t remember off the top of my head if that iteration was on the 8000. Either way - LS2 steel fits!
Steve Powell 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2019 Thanks to everyone for replying. That's exactly what I needed to know. There's nothing wrong with the holders, no cracks, and they are well fixed to the boot, no loose rivets. Thanks.
