Change skate but keep baked insole (Possible?)

Recommended Posts

Hello, I am wondering if you still can use the same BAUER insole Speed Plate after you baked it and used it for a pair of skates. After some usetime you will switch your skates, can you still keep the insoles?

The insoles will return to their original shape when heated.

So you can just rebake the speed plate and fit into your new skates.

thanks 1 more question is it still worth to buy the 1. generation of them?

I had the 1.0 in my Supremes. Currently got 2.0 in my Tacks.

I vastly prefer the original 1.0. version. I find the much stiffer insole gives me better support (not it’s primary purpose though). I never found it uncomfortable at all.

I’d buy the 1.0 over the 2.0 personally.

Ive never tried 2.0 personally, but lot of ppl just didnt know how to bake 1.0s correctly, resulting in "bad" reputation of insoles (breaking and discomfort). First gen works for me nicely.

70c until the black stripes disappear, stick in boot, lace up quickly and stand up for 30s then sit down for 5 - 10 minutes or so

As he said. And make sure all stripes really disappear, then act quickly and do it one insole at a time. 5min is more than enough. And use owen with a fan.
