Need Help! Bauer skates finally falling apart...

Recommended Posts

I am currently on bauer vapor x 7.0 LE from 2011/2012, I have read up that they are identical/similar to the x60 and the nexus 7000 vapor cut

what modern bauer boot will feel the closest?

i understand tech mesh doesn't exist anymore?

i'm just a couple times a week beer leaguer

Ice warehouse says the 3X Pro is the descendant of the 7.0 https://www.icewarehouse.com/Bauer_Vapor_3X_Pro/descpage-V3XP.html

So that or a 2X on sale.

The X2.9 is actually a tech mesh boot.  It might be a touch heavier than the X7.0 and has a TPU outsole, but is not a bad skate, especially for beer league.  3X Pro is way stiffer than the X7.0.

I actually went with a pair of used LTX Pro+ as the internet made it seem like an upgraded version of the x2.9s?

I have a pair of 2x pros that I’m trying to break in but the boot definitely feels very different…

is there no longer any custom place to have tech mesh vapor boots made like the x7.0s?
