Drill size for holder rivets.

Recommended Posts

I'm changing over holders but the holes will need redrilling. I want to make sure that the holder alignment is exactly how I want rather than a shop just fitting around the existing holes as I've seen happen. Could someone enlighten me as to the correct diameter hole for steel rivets and coppers.

Thanks

Many thanks for the reply 5/32 is about what I'd guessed for steels, but the original CCM coppers I removed seemed a bit smaller, is there a standard drill size for them?

Pretty sure no manufacturer uses different drills for copper rivers vs steel rivets. Coppers hold by their wide heads and washers, difference in fractions of millimeters is negligible

Thanks for the replies, I did think it was odd that the holes were different but rechecking the rear copper holes on the skates (CCM as1) don't seem to be big enough for a 5/32" drill bit, they seem to be 9/64".

I guess I could solve my own problem by just using steels 😉
