Bauer vs Mako pitch

I've used Mako skates for essentially the duration of my hockey career. As most know, these have a very aggressive forward pitch. I recently tried a pair of Bauers (2X model) and found I much prefer the less aggressive pitch. I felt far more stable turning, gliding, striding and even puck control. There's one caveat: I'm significantly faster on the Makos. Easton advertised them as scientifically faster than all other skates, and in my anecdotal experience they weren't lying. . My top speed according to hockey tracker on the Makos was 19.4 as opposed to 14.2 on the Bauer skates. So, should I sacrifice speed in exchange for control and stability or stick to the Makos?
