One Year Update

At the shop that I work at I see all of these Vapor's and Vector's come in to be sharpened and they are just falling apart...even after just a months use. I think people need to demand more durability out of there skates.

I've been using the same pair of Bauer 8000's for the last 2 years. I'm on the ice at least 5 hours a week and the boot is still fairly stiff. It sadens me to see Bauer do away with the "Supreme" line of skates that had a Power Return eyestay. I think that is one of the reasons 7000's and 8000's have held up so well( at least from what I've seen).

I guess what my point is, is that there are skates out there, Bauer Supreme's, CCM Tacks, to name a few that will last. People just need to know that if you want a skate that is 200g lighter, it's not going to last.

It has gotten to the point where people come into my store and I tell them about the durability of a piece of hockey equip. and they hesitate because they think that if the equipment is actually durable, its gotta be lacking in perfromance somehow. Kids are always bragging to me about how many synergys theyve broken....
