Anyone else NOT liking the stealth?

Recommended Posts

Personaly I think the stick sucks, for the price and durability. This a perfect example of what happens when a company tries to come out with a product that is extremly light, thay sacrifce durability for the weight. People whan't a stick thats going to last. I have seen some of these stick break within two of purchase, and many more break before the thirty day warrenty.

I've long since been of that same opinion - keep pushing the weight issue, and durability is likely to suffer.

I searched and couldnt dig up info very helpful..

I am wondering if anyone else has the same feelings i do toward the stealth.

I dont know what it is about the stick but it just feels wrong in my hands. I can't take nearly the slapshot or wrist shot for that matter that I could with my synergy or synthesis.

It almost feels ceramic like Chadd described his XN10 at first.

I've used for i believe coming up 3 weeks and it still feels no better than before.

The paint is peeling on the silver part towards the bottom and I have never had this problem with any other stick. I can feel the black (which i believe to be graphite) part under the silver paint job in places too.

All in all I'm quite disappointed with my stealth.

I don't know if I could just have a faulty one or maby its just me, but there is definately a difference in my shooting.

Its a 100 flex sakic BTW.

If anyone has any insight they can share with me I would greatly appreciate it.

Oh and yes it is from the easton toy drive so im not by any means upset by the performance because I got for for helping children out, but if I was going to buy another one once it breaks I would want to know if others have had problems too.

Hey Derek if you don't want it I'll buy it.

i found it to be a very inconsistent stick and you guys are right about the 100 flex feeling like much less... the 87 reg flex on my XXX feels stiff compared to all the stealths i went through.

I also couldn't be happier with mine. I absolutely cannot go back to any other stick after using mine. The weight is something you have to get used to, but once I did, I could puckhandle much faster than with my old Vapor XX, and that thing shoots rockets.

I can't believe that people don't love that thing.

I knew I was hooked when, last Sunday night and my first night with the stick, I gained the puck on defense, saw my right winger turning up ice, gathered the puck, proceeded to shoot the puck up ice...and rifled it right past him, on a rope. Wow! I learned to adjust pretty quickly. The response of the stick is amazing. No going back to my other stick.

I have been trying it for long periods of time the last few days on the backyard rink and I have to say that I am getting more used to it.

The weight doesn't seem as big a factor as it used too and I changed my grip on the stick too.

I had my brother film me shooting so I could see if I was doing something wrong but it seems like one shot will go exactly where I wanted it and as hard as I wanted and then the next will just float off the stick.

I didnt change anything from the previous shot and my followthrough is the same but the shot is way off.

Anyways I will probably just have to get used to it and try new things.

Thanks for the responses BTW.

Peace!

I'd give it some time. It took me a little bit to switch from my XX because of the weight difference. The stick also has a different kickpoint than all of the OPS now, so you may have to get used to that. If you look in the Easton catalog, you can see the difference in the sticks from TPS and CCM...
