I have tried a couple different blades for my T-flex shafts including a mission ether blade, a comp synthesis, and a comp t-flex blade and in the end, I don't experience any advantage to the short hoselled variety of the blades. In fact, I feel that I lose significant shot velocity and snap in comparison to the t-flex blade. Perhaps this is due to a longer taper once you include the longer hosel or maybe it is dependent on shooting style. I'm just curious to hear other peoples impressions and preferences on these two variants.

It also seems like long hoselled tapered blades are going out of fashion and it is getting very difficult to find replacement blades locally. I got lucky yesterday when I stopped by my LHS to find out they had restocked 3 more RH composite t-flex blades when two weeks earlier there were none and they told me they were sold out for good (they began clearing them out for cheap about 3 weeks ago). If anyones interested, they (the store, not me) have about 5 LH composite drurys, 1 RH composite drury, and about 25 LH woodies in a variety of patterns left in stock. I think that once these are gone they are gone for good.

I like the short hosel so far, I felt more low kick with it as well. I used sakic curves for a better part of 2 years and I now use a hybrid synthesis blade and find my shot go higher. I fooled around with a sakic curve and a blowtorch and am ordering some wooden legend blades this week. Now that I have used short hoseled blades, every time I look at a regular blade it looks weird as if there's too much and you don't need it that long.

I haven't had a alot of oppurtunities to try out the T-Flex blades (only one), but find the wristers are better because I can load up on them, but prefer the shorter hosel blades for slap shots.

How much are they going for?

If you're having trouble adjusting to shorter hosel blades, is it because of the overall height difference in your stick? Or do you compensate for the height difference wtih a plug? I know its obvious, but....

I've tried both and I prefer blades with a longer hosel. I find I get more snap in my shot with them compared to blade with a short hosel. Also, I like the extra weight on the bottom of the stick.

I fond I go through the long hosel blades faster, but it has improved velocity abd feel to me.

Yeah. I compensate for the difference in hosel length by pulling out the end plug for the t-flex blades.

The composites were going for $40 CDN and I think the woodies were either 13 or 16 CDN. Hmm i just saw on the website they are advertising them for cheaper online, $22.5 and $2 USD respectively I am going to see if I can get a price adjustment. (just called them and they said they will refund me the difference yea, i just have to go down there again)

i'm more partial to long hosel blades than short. the balance it makes with the rest of the stick seems a lot more to my liking. the fact that i don't have to have a longer shaft is also a bonus. shooting wise, the shorties are a little better for snap shots, but i can't shoot very well with them other then that.

I like the medium lenghted blades like the Vector, I don't really like the short hosseled blades like the tapered Innos. To me short-hoseled blades don't have as good as feel.

Definately the long hosel blades. I find that the shooting performance is pretty much the same between the two but the feel is better with the long hosels. Maybe it's the "extra" wood that makes it feel better.

I found that the hybrid synthesis blades are sometimes 1/2" - 1" longer than some of the other shorties such as the comp. synth and r2's. I'm getting my blades made at the hybrid length and I don't think I could get used to the really short ones. Not sure if anyone noticed that, but the ones I saw were.

my inno mogilny's hosel is short and I don't seem to mind cause I using really short sticks. Took a bit to adjust to it but once I did, it feels great.

I noticed the same with a hybrid Drury blade I used last year. It wasn't as much as 1/2" on my blade, more like 1/4". I didn't notice the length difference at all when I went to the composite version.

I can't say I've used a long hosel long enough to notice the difference. Besides, I like the short hosels just fine anyway, more whippy feeling.
